Let the festivities begin! To kick off our holiday season, we went on a hayride to see the lights in Layton City! Hosted by The Burger Stop, we got to see Santa, eat candy canes, and enjoy our time together. I think this is an activity that may turn into a tradition!
I was proud of Brighton, she saw Santa, walked right over to him, climbed on his lap and talked to him. (Remember, we have had Santa-phobia in the past!) She let Santa know that all she wants for Christmas is her lost Kitty-Lou. (Her favorite stuffed animal that disappeared this summer.)
The Hay Ride
Look at Eden...doesn't she remind of you Ralphie from Christmas Story?
So bundled she can't move!
The Tunnel of Lights.
We tried to hold our breath all the way through.
And our Ward took a different approach to it's Christmas party this year. We all dressed in "period-style" clothing. We sang hymns around fires outside. Then got golden beans to buy our food. It was fun and a nice reminder of what we are really celebrating this season!
